”Born Against Teeth” is a retelling of the “Little Red Riding Hood” myth that celebrates resilience, partially invoked by my embrace of the Mi'kmaw language to tell it. This reclamation of language is grounded in the poetry that I write, and includes English as an invitation to learn the language together and de-stabilize use of English as default.
