So the news is out? You’ve heard? We can shout it?

GRIMM RETOLD INCLUDES A PIECE FROM  THE LATE, LEGENDARY FAIRY TALE RETELLER, TANITH LEE.

Tanith Lee, born in 1947, was a speculative fiction writer who also wrote science fiction and fantasy, poems, screenplays and a children's book. She became famous for her interpretations of vampire stories and fairy tales, weaving in themes of feminism and sexuality. Amassing a collection of over 90 novels and 300 short stories from the beginning of her career in 1968.

Tanith has accumulated more nominations and awards than Michael Jordan, and although she passed away in 2015, she is still receiving them. She was the first woman to win the British Fantasy Award for best novel, and won the Bram Stoker Award for Lifetime Achievement in Horror in 2015. This year, Tanith was awarded the 2024 Infinity Award from the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association at the Nebula Awards.

Speculation Publications is beyond honored to have the opportunity to publish a piece from Tanith’s extensive body of work, and we thank her husband, John Kaiine, for working with us to make this happen.

We’re not going to tell you the story yet. If you want to know, you just need to pick yourself up a copy of GRIMM RETOLD.

Here’s the full story! Thanks to Jim McCleod for helping us share it.
